After a career in British national newspapers, Bill and his partner Lynne Bateson emigrated to Pasadena in 2006 and became US citizens in November 2011. While still writing a weekly financial advice column for the London Sunday Times, Bill has been getting to grips with California’s head-spinning combination of “have a nice day” and trigger-happy police.
